Crash Sensoric : Functional Developer
This will help you grow:
- Responsibility and supervision for the development of crash sensor technologies from concept phase to series production.
- Packaging and integration validation of crash sensor components in line with mounting guidelines (rigidity, environment, position, etc.).
- Evaluation of sensor positioning and environment (sensor kinematics).
- Evaluation of sensor signals using simulation results and physical testing.
- Development and implementation of trigger logic for crash detection.
- Execution of testing and calibration processes aligned with supplier requirements.
- Definition of requirements for crash sensors (e.g., ignition timing) in coordination with occupant protection teams.
- Leading supplier and customer meetings with structured agendas.
- Development activities including CAx data provision.
- Analysis and preparation of detailed test reports considering safety-related deviations.
- Responsibility for approval recommendations for developed sensor functions.
- Early identification of deviations, definition of action plans, and escalation to safety or project leadership.
This is how you will help us move forward:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the development of crash sensorics or related safety systems.
- Strong technical understanding of current safety and consumer rating requirements.
- Proficiency in CAD systems (e.g., CATIA V6), CAD data management tools (e.g., Teamcenter), and MS Office (including Teams and SharePoint).
- Basic experience with Jira or similar tracking tools.
- Strong communication skills in German and English (minimum C1 in both depending on project requirements).
- Willingness to travel to test laboratories and customer locations within Europe and globally if required.
- Hands-on experience in vehicle component assembly/disassembly is an advantage.
