Senior Java Backend Developer

This will help you grow:

• Designing, developing and documenting Java software applications used in the industrial environment.
• Integration into our existing PAC Scrum team to develop, extend and implement customer-specific solutions.
• Perform software and integration testing and support the rollout of solutions at customer sites until go-live (typically remote)
• Continuously improve ourselves by actively contributing ideas to ongoing projects and processes
• Ensure that applications are supported and maintained, even while in production.
• Collaboration in projects with other IT departments and integration of stakeholders

• Completed university studies (master's degree, diploma, bachelor's degree) in technical computer science / general computer science, automation/engineering or comparable qualifications and experience
• Programming knowledge in Java/ Groovy and experience in using frameworks and tools such as Spring, Maven, JUnit and EasyMock
  • Strong backend / integration focus
  • No JavaScript or frontend skills required
• Experience in modern IT delivery processes (especially DevOps) and as well as in continuous delivery, automated testing and Scrum
• Preferably experience with the integration of interfaces such as OPC-UA, Siemens S7, REST/SOAP web services, TCP IP, etc.
• Experience and interest in event streaming, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting (Kafka, Splunk, etc.)
• Reliability, accountability, strong ability to communicate and passion for learning
• Experience in automation and/or MES environments
• Hands-on experience with message bus technologies:
  • Kafka
  • JMS
  • MQTT
• Experience with industrial communication protocols:
  • OPC UA
  • REST
  • Plain TCP / socket communication
• Experience integrating hardware devices such as printers, scanners, or other production equipment
